My name is Julia and I started to make "jewellery" when I was a child, maybe like you in a different country many miles away: necklaces made with macaroni or bracelets made with flowers.
I grew up in a little magical city in the North of Spain; it's a place in the middle of vineyards, with golden leaves in autumn, snow in the mountains in winter, and a lot of daisies in spring for my “jewels”.
Some years ago, I arrived in Barcelona where I live now to study at the University. What a different city! No snow, no daisies... but here the sun, the Mediterranean Sea and, specially, the art are important.
Gaudí, Miró, Dalí and Picasso have left their mark on Barcelona. Their work is in museums and also in the streets. It has influenced the inhabitants of the city, in our clothes, in our food, and also because we think that creativity is all around us.
In my case, I love to transform things: felt, zippers, crayons, beads, fabrics... to make jewellery... My shop is full of pieces made with simple things, like the first flowers in my bracelets, but with a different point of view. I added a lot of love and, maybe, Barcelona's spirit.
With this little shop, some of my creations are now arriving in Austria, Greece, USA, Canada... and this makes me happy. It's an open window to other countries.
